Nothing brings a crowd together like Margaritas. They are tangy, a little sweet, and are sure to hit the spot on a hot day.

If you’re making a few margaritas for you and a friend, it’s easy to whip them out using a good old shaker, like our Adventure Happy Hour Cocktail Shaker Set. But what do you do if you’re tasked with margaritas for a crowd? Does that mean you’ll be spending the whole night shaking away while everyone else gets to mingle?

Don’t worry, you’re pals over here at Stanley have got you covered.

We know how to throw a party because we love to entertain. Every good host/hostess knows that rule number one of hosting a great shindig is making sure there are enough drinks to go around, while still having the time to be present with your guests. We’ve got a little trick up our sleeve for a hassle-free way to do both.

Enter: The batch cocktail

If this is your first time hearing of batch cocktails-- you’re welcome. It’s the modern twist to the old school punch bowl that your parents brought out for a gathering.

Making a batch cocktail, in this case, a jug of margaritas is easy to do with our Adventure Fast Flow Water Jug. Sure it can house water for the entire little league team to sip out of during the day, but it can also transform into the ultimate party vessel for adults. We’re talking two gallons of margaritas to keep the entire crew refreshed at your next celebration or tailgating party. The best part is that you can make a Jug O’ Ritas ahead of your party and easily transport the jug to your event. Your bevies will still nice and cold for up to 13 hours, but let’s face it, there’s no way these cocktails are going to last that long.

Ready to fill your jug? Let’s get this party started already.

MARGARITAS FOR A CROWD RECIPE

Servings: This recipe makes approximately 32 5oz cocktails.

Ingredients:

  • 12 c. of Agave Tequila (approximately 3 bottles)
  • 4 c. of Orange Liquor (Triple Sec does the job or you can get fancy and upgrade to Cointreau)
  • 4 ¼ c. of Lime Juice (freshly squeezed limes work best, but frozen lime concentrate can be used as a substitute)
  • Simple Syrup (optional)
  • A bag of ice

Direction:

Pour all items in the jug and mix with a big wire whisk or spoon. Add in ice.

If you really want to wow your crowd, pour some salt on a plate and slice some limes so your guest can garnish their cups.

Party pro tip: Our Adventure Vacuum bowls are perfect for sliced limes. The bonus? The lid doubles as a plate for your margarita salt.

Now that you’ve got a game plan for making margaritas for a crowd, don’t forget to keep your guests well fed. Nothing goes better with margaritas than homemade guac and we have the best bacon guacamole dip recipe to get the party started. Cheers!
